Rear-end, T-bone, rollover and hit-and-run crashes on Forest Hill Blvd, State Road 7 and Southern Blvd. We pursue the at-fault driver's insurance and your own uninsured motorist coverage.
Wellington car accident lawyer →Falls on wet floors, spills, broken pavement and poorly lit walkways at stores, restaurants, apartment complexes and parking lots in Wellington.
Wellington slip and fall lawyer →Crashes with semi-trucks, delivery vans, dump trucks and horse trailers on Southern Blvd (SR 80), State Road 7 and the Florida Turnpike.
Truck crashes are different from car crashes. Commercial trucks usually carry larger insurance policies, and trucking companies must follow federal safety rules, including hours-of-service limits on how long drivers can stay behind the wheel. Electronic logging devices, dash cameras and maintenance records can show what went wrong, but that evidence can be overwritten or lost if it is not preserved quickly. In Wellington, we see truck crashes on Southern Boulevard (State Road 80), State Road 7 and the Florida Turnpike, along with collisions involving horse trailers during the winter equestrian season. David has recovered $1.1 million for a truck accident client.
Injured as a rideshare passenger, driver or by a rideshare vehicle. These cases can involve the driver's policy and the company's insurance.
Wellington Uber accident lawyer →Falling merchandise, forklift, tile, lumber and garden center injuries at Home Depot. David has handled Home Depot injury cases throughout Florida.
Home Depot accident lawyer →Slip and falls on wet floors and produce or freezer aisle spills, falling merchandise and parking lot injuries at Publix stores in Wellington.
Wellington Publix accident lawyer →Riders hit by drivers who turn left in front of them or change lanes without looking. Injuries are often severe.
Florida PIP no-fault coverage applies to vehicles with four or more wheels, so it does not cover motorcycle riders (§ 627.732(3), Fla. Stat.). That makes the at-fault driver’s bodily injury coverage and your own uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage especially important. Many motorcycle crashes happen when a driver turns left in front of a rider or changes lanes without checking a blind spot. Insurance companies often try to blame the rider or argue that the injuries would have been less severe with a helmet, which is why evidence and witness statements gathered early matter.
Riders hurt by drivers, potholes or defective scooters and e-bikes on Wellington roads and multi-use paths, including teens riding to school.
Under Florida law, an e-bike rider has the same rights and duties as a bicycle rider and may ride where bicycles are allowed (§ 316.20655, Fla. Stat.). Drivers must give bicycles and e-bikes at least 3 feet when passing (§ 316.083(2)). E-bike and e-scooter crashes often involve drivers turning across a bike lane, opening a car door into a rider or failing to see a rider at night, as well as road defects and defective batteries or brakes. E-bikes are not required to carry insurance, so recovery often comes from the at-fault driver’s coverage and your own uninsured motorist coverage.
People struck in crosswalks, parking lots and on Wellington's bike paths and roadways, including near schools and shopping centers.
Drivers must yield to pedestrians in crosswalks (§ 316.130(7)(c), Fla. Stat.) and give cyclists at least 3 feet when passing (§ 316.083(2)). A pedestrian or cyclist hit by a car may be able to use their own or a household member’s PIP for initial medical bills, then pursue the driver for the rest. In Wellington, we see these crashes near shopping centers on State Road 7, at intersections along Forest Hill Boulevard and on routes children use to get to school.
Florida holds dog owners responsible for bites in most situations. We help children and adults recover for medical care and scarring.
Florida holds a dog owner liable when the dog bites someone in a public place or someone lawfully on private property, even if the dog never bit anyone before (§ 767.04, Fla. Stat.). A prominently posted “Bad Dog” sign can limit the owner’s liability, but not when the victim is under 6 or when the owner’s own negligence caused the bite. Compensation can be reduced if the victim’s own carelessness contributed. Dog bite claims are often paid by the owner’s homeowner’s or renter’s insurance.
Guests bitten at hotels and short-term rentals, including visitors during Wellington’s winter equestrian season. Hotels can be responsible when they ignore infestations.
Florida bed bug injury guide →When a crash or unsafe property takes a loved one, the family may bring a wrongful death claim. Most must be filed within 2 years (§ 95.11(5)(e)).
Under Florida’s Wrongful Death Act, the claim is brought by the personal representative of the person’s estate for the benefit of the surviving family members and the estate (§ 768.20, Fla. Stat.). Most wrongful death claims must be filed within 2 years of the death (§ 95.11(5)(e)). Surviving spouses, children and parents may be able to recover for lost support and companionship, along with medical and funeral expenses. David handles these cases with care and keeps families informed at every step.

Local Knowledge
Wellington's main roads carry commuters, school traffic, delivery trucks and, during the winter equestrian season, horse trailers and visitors. Many of the crashes we see happen on these corridors:
Slip and fall injuries often happen in busy grocery stores, home improvement stores and shopping centers along State Road 7 and Forest Hill Boulevard. Under § 768.0755, Fla. Stat., a person who slips on a spill in a business must show the business knew or should have known about it, which is why early evidence matters.

Most negligence claims, including car accidents and slip and falls, must be filed within 2 years of the date of injury under § 95.11(5)(a), Florida Statutes. Wrongful death claims generally must be filed within 2 years of the death under § 95.11(5)(e). Waiting can also mean losing video footage and witnesses, so call as soon as you can.
Yes, as long as you were not more than 50% at fault. Under § 768.81(6), Florida Statutes, a person who is more than 50% at fault for their own harm cannot recover damages. If you are 50% or less at fault, your recovery is reduced by your percentage of fault.
Yes. Florida PIP pays medical benefits only if you receive initial services and care within 14 days after the motor vehicle accident (§ 627.736(1)(a), Florida Statutes). Getting checked out promptly also creates a record linking your injuries to the crash.
When you slip on a spill or other substance in a business, Florida law requires proof that the business knew or should have known about the hazard and failed to fix it (§ 768.0755, Florida Statutes). Store video, incident reports and witness names are critical, so they should be preserved quickly. Learn more on our Wellington slip and fall lawyer page.
